“Desiri” is dream child of three corporate professionals. After working 20+ years in corporate, three techies decided to say "Good Bye" to highly paying corporate jobs and ventured to extract the Edible Oil through age old traditional methods. Desiri venture emerged just not to extract the edible oils but also engaged in resolving many social problems. Desiri vision is to have “Chemical Free Food Plate”.
Desiri’s dream project started at Adaganahalli, which is located around 3 kms from K R Nagar town in Mysore District, Karnatka. Just after corporate jobs this unit started in the year 2017. As usual started with 1 Bull Driven Ghana and in a span of 1 year it is increased to 6 Bull Driven Ghanas. Currently this units created direct employment of 25+ and also it created eco system for indirect employment creation in near by villages. Happy to share, all these employments are created in villages. This unit being the first one, Desiri team trained around 60+ youths in this unit where in many participants installed the Ghana’s in their villages. After setting up the 6 Ghana’s in K R Nagar, Team Desiri carried lot of experience and learnings. Based on the experience 2nd unit started during the year 2020 at Rajanapalya, Magadi, Near Bangalore. In this unit, there are 6 Ghana’s are operating. This unit also created a direct employment of 25+. By geography this unit is located near to Bangalore, Desiri team is conducting unique concept of “Ghana Tourism” in this unit where in it is creating awareness about the traditional oil extraction methods to the next generation.
Desiri’s wanted to solve the social problem of cow slaughtering. We are grateful to Sri Ramachandrapura Mutt, Malur for gifting two bulls during the year 2018. Without knowing the how to manage the bulls and with the blessings of Gaumatha, Desiri engaged around 40+ indigenous bulls from both the units. Sri Krishna Goshala, Tumukur contribution to our success in saving the bulls can’t be ignored. Happy to share, out of 40+ bull, around 36 bulls are saved from Slaughter house and engaged in the oil extraction process. These bulls also used in breeding in the local villages.
Another area where Desiri is working towards creating the awareness on natural farming to farmers. It conducted various awareness programs to farmers and made them aware on importance of Natural farming vs Chemical farming.
Just not by completing our work. Desiri team conducted many public awareness programs. In the year 2019, it conducted Public Program on healthy food where in Dr. Khadar Vali, renowned food scientist created a awareness among the public which was over whelmed with 600+ persons.
Desiri Believes in creating awareness to general public considering his as context the novel concept of "Ghana Tourism" Introduced and Concept of edible oil extraction Made aware to next generation.
